387 S u rah al-K a fir u n, Chapter 109 • 3 A Companion was advised by the Holy Prophet sa to recite S u rah al- K a fir u n and the following five S u rahs, when travelling. o These S u rahs refute other religious beliefs, draw attention to overcome one’s weaknesses, recommend perseverance in the face of adversary and prohibit in-fighting. o One who deliberates over these qualities, ends up adopting them by realising their importance. o Such a person gains respect in the eyes of others and becomes a source of unity of his own people. 3 Tafs i r-e-Kab i r.
