h a d rat Mirza ghulam AHmAD as 110 In summary, there is no doubt, suspicion, or question that when Allah graciously saved Jesus as from the trial of the cross, he migrated with his mother and some of his companions to Kashmir, which was an elevated land with meadows, springs of running water, and a collection of marvels. Our Lord, the Supporter of the Prophets and the Helper of the Oppressed, referred to him in His saying, There is no doubt that al- I w a ’ [granting refuge] is sought only after calamity, fatigue, and anguish, and this word is used exclu- sively in this sense. Know that the word al- I w a ’ and its derivatives appear in many places of the Quran, all of which are mentioned in the sense of protection from calamity out of gratitude. As Allah the Exalted said, [Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter? ( S u rah a d-D u ha , 93:7)] This means that God granted relief after difficulty. And Allah said in another place, [And remember the time when you were few and deemed weak in the land, and were in fear lest people should snatch you away, but He sheltered you ( S u rah al-Anf a l, 8:27)].
