23 someone is given respect, whenever someone attains any sort of status , there will always be those who are envious of him, and it is a characteristic which manifests itself everywhere in the world. ” It is for this reason that right after mention ing success, God Almighty immediately states that w hen you have achieved such a status , when your teachings have progressed , your actions have improved , your community has advanced , and every day you are granted success after success from Us , your neighbors and your r elatives will become jealous of you. They will fear that now you will overpower them, an d they should oppose you. The solu tion to the se envious people is : َﻓ َﺼ ِّﻞ ِﻟ َﺮ ِّﺑ َﻚ “Y ou should pray to God that He saves you from the jealousy of such envious people s. ” That is why in another place, the Holy Qur’an has taught us this prayer : U ُﻗ ۡﻞ َا ُﻋ ۡﻮ ُذ ِﺑ َﺮ ِّب ا ۡﻟ َﻔ َﻠ ِﻖ U ِﻣ ۡﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ َﻣ ﺎ َﺧ َﻠ َﻖ U َو َﻗ َﺐ َو ِﻣ ۡﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ َﻏ ﺎ ِﺳ ٍﻖ ِا َذ ا U َو ِﻣ ۡﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ ا ﻟ َّﻨ ّٰﻔ ٰﺜ ِﺖ ِيف ا ۡﻟ ُﻌ َﻘ ِﺪ c َو ِﻣ ۡﻦ َﺷ ِّﺮ َﺣ ﺎ ِﺳ ٍﺪ ِا َذ ا َﺣ َﺴ َﺪ Say, ‘I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn, From the evil of that which He has created, And from the evil of the night when it overspreads, And from the evil of those who blow into knots to undo them, And from the evil of the envier when he envies. ’ (Holy Qur’an, Ch. 113: V. 2 - 6) Thus, in the phrase : َﻓ َﺼ ِّﻞ ِﻟ َﺮ ِّﺑ َﻚ Only the teaching was given that pray er should be made in order to be save d from the envy of th ose who are jealous.
