The Promised Messiahas has also discussed at length such abstruse and subtle themes as the nature of Angels, their relationship with God and man, and how they function as intermediaries and carry out divine commands. Taudih-e-Maram was first translated into English by Professor Qadi Muhammad Aslam, of blessed memory, and was published in 1972. The present version is a com- pletely new translation. sa The name of Muhammadsa, the Holy Prophet of Islam, has been followed by the symbol sª, which is an abbrevia- tion for the salutation 'may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.
