This punishment will befall him within a period of six years commencing from February 20, 1893۔This punishment will be meted out to him on a day adjoining the Eid day۔He will die at the hands of a dreadful person with blood shot eyes۔Such a person was seen by the Promised Messiah(AS) in a vision from God۔Lekh Ram will be a victim of the sword of Muhammad (PBUH)۔He will meet the fate of the "calf of the Samiri", that is his body will be dismemberd and his ashes will be thrown into a river۔The Prophecy of God about Lekh Ram was fulfilled in March 1897 within the prescribed time of six years۔The 5th March 1897 was Eid-Ul-Fitr, following on the eve of March 6, 1897, Lekh Ram was killed as prophesied۔According to the details Lekh Ram was on the first floor of his house writing a biography of Swamy Dianand, the Founder of Arya Samaj۔The man who killed him was sitting next to him۔This man, as related by Lekh Ram's associates, had come to him a few days earlier to be converted to Hinduism۔Lekhram always kept this man with him۔In fact he was planning to celebrate his conversion۔While writing Lekh Ram felt tired so he got up and yawned۔This man attacked him and thrust his dagger so fiercely in his stomach that the entrails came out and he bellowed loudly۔Hearing his groans his mother and his wife rushed up۔They were certain that the murderer was still in the house as there was no exit to its upper floor۔Many people had gathered at the main door on the ground floor۔In the ensuing mess, however, the murderer managed to disappear۔A thorough search was carried out but the killer could not be found, neither in the upper story nor on the ground floor۔He just vanished no one knew where۔Lekh Ram was immediately taken to the Mayo Hospital, Lahore, where he was operated upon by an English surgeon Dr۔Perry۔Lekh Ram died on the 7th March 1897 in the morning at 4 a۔m۔and after cremation his ashes were thrown in a river as prophesied۔Lekh Ram's house was surrounded by other houses of Hindu families in a densely populated area۔However, no trace was ever found of the murderer۔(Bibliography Dawat-ul-Amir, Tarikh-e-Ahmadiyyat Vol۔II and Tazkiirah۔) 17
