He returned, particularly, he returned to a good state or condition. Ê ø ^ ð ø (said of the shade): It shifted or removed or rather it returned from the side of the west to the side of the east. iø Ë ø n $ ^ø l ô ] Ö ¿ ôù ¡ Ù ö : The shade became changed in their manner. mø jø Ë ø n $ ç. ] ¾ ô ¡ Öö ä ü : Its shadows shift (16:49). l ô ] Ö  $ r ø  ø é ö = Ê ø ^ ð ø : The tree had much shade. Ê ø ^ ð ø ] Ö» v ø  ô m»  ö : The iron became blunt after its being sharp. ]ø Ê ø ^» iö ä ü : I made it to return. ]ø Ê ø ^ ð ø ] Ö × # ä ö Â ø × ø n» ã ô Ü ö ] Ö» Ç ø ßø ^ ñô Ü ø : God restored or gave to them the spoils. æ ø Ú ø ^ ]ø Ê ø ^ ð ø ] Ö × # ä ö Â ø ×F o  ø  ö ç » Öô ä´ : And whatever Allah has given to His Prophet (59:7) Ê ø o » ð º : Afternoon shade; shade after the declining of the sun from the meridian; spoil, booty or plunder, thus called because it returns from one party to another; such booty as is attained without difficulty; such of the possessions of disbelievers as accrue to Muslims without war or such as are obtained from them after the laying down of arms; a flock of birds. Ê ø o » ð º and Æ ø ßô n» Û ø è º both mean spoil, booty or plunder and the acquisition of a thing without difficulty or trouble or inconvenience. According to some ]ø Ö» Ç ø ßô n» Û ø è ö signifies "What is obtained from disbelievers by force during war and of this a fifth is to be taken and applied in the manner prescribed in the Qur'an (8:42), and what remains after the fifth is for those who 669 Ê o Ê ^ ð
