 ø eø x ø [aor. mø  » eø x ö inf. noun  ø e» x º ]  ø eø v ø ä ü : He cut lengthwise, split; slit it; he rent or ripped or rent or ripped open; he slaughtered or sacrificed it (namely a sheep or goat or cow etc. ) in the manner prescribed by the law by cutting the two external jugular veins or by cutting the throat, i. q. Þø v ø  ø. But correctly ]ø Ö  $ e» x ö is in the throat and ]ø Ö ß $ v »  ö is in the pit above the breast, between the collar-bones, where camels are stabbed, ]ø Ö ß $ v »  ö being used in relation to camels and ]ø Ö  $ e» x ö in relation to other animals.  ø eø x ø Â ø ß» ä ö : He slaughtered or sacrificed for him by way of expiation.  ø eø x ø also means, he slaughtered or slew in any manner. Moreover  ø e $ x ø signifies, he did the act of slaughtering thoroughly, fully and also mercilessly i. e. eø ^ Öø È ø Ê ô o ] Ö  $ e» x ô. mö  ø eôù x ö ]ø e» ßø þ ³ « ñø ã ö Ü » : He slaughtered their sons and slaughtered them mercilessly (28:5).  ô e» x º : An animal intended to be slaughtered; an animal that is slaughtered or sacrificed. æ ø Ê ø  ø m» ßø ^ å ö eô  ô e» x õ Â ø ¿ ô n» Ü õ : And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice.  ø eô n» x º : That which is slaughtered; or that which is fit for sacrifice.  ø eô n» v ø è º (feminine): Animal to be sacrificed soon.  ø ì ø  ø [aor. mø  » ì ø  ö inf. noun  ø ì »  º and  ö ì »  º ]  ø ì ø  ø å ü and ]ô  $ ì ø  ø å ü : He hoarded it or laid it up for the future; he stored it up; or prepared or provided it for a time of need; he selected it.
