بدن earth )2:118( بِدْعَةٌ : An innovation; a novelty or innovation in religion; an opinion deviating from the right way. بدل It : بَدَّلَ الشَّيْءَ or أَبْدَلَ الشَّيْءَ or بَدَلَ الشَّيْءَ بَدْلًا inf. noun يَبْدُلُ aor بَدَلَ changed the thing; changed the form, or quality or condition of it. تَبْدِيلٌ )inf. noun of بَدَّلُ signifies the changing of the form or quality or condition of a thing to another form etc, while the substance remains the same or the changing of a thing without substitution. The Arabs, however, have also used it in the sense of إِبْدَالٌ which signifies the changing of a thing by substitution; exchanging it; replacing it with another thing. مُبَدِّلٌ )Act. par. ( بَدَّلَهُ بِكَذَا : He gave him in exchange for it such a thing. اِسْتَبْدَلَ بالشَّيْءِ or تَبَدَّلَهُ : He took a thing in exchange for the thing. اِسْتَبْدَلَ الشَّيْءَ بِغَيْرِهِ : He took the thing in place of another. بَدَلٌ and بِدْلٌ 28 28 28 and بَدِي all signify the same meaning, (1) substitute; a thing given or received or done in place of another thing; a compensation. أَبْدَالٌ بَدَلٌ plural) also means a noble and generous man بَدَلُ الشَّيْءِ or الْبَدْلُ عَنِ الشَّيْءِ : The substitute for a thing. ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسْنًا بَعْدَ سُوْءٍ : Afterward has changed evil for good )27:12(. الَّذِيْنَ بَدَّلُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ كُفْرًا : Who changed Allah's favour into ingratitude )14:29( وَمَا بَدَّلُوْا تَبْدِيلاً : And they have not altered in the least )33:24( فَاَرَدْنَا أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُمَا رَبُّهُمَا : So we desired that their Lord should give them in exchange )1882( أَتَسْتَبْدِلُوْنَ الَّذِي هُوَ أَدْنَى بِالَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ : Would you take in exchange that which is inferior for that which is superior )2:62( بِئْسَ لِلظَّالِمِينَ بَدَلًاً : Evil is the exchange for the wrongdoers )18:51( لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِكَلِمَتِ اللهِ : There is no changing the words of Allah )1065( لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَتِ اللهِ : None can change the words of Allah )6:35( إِنْ أَرَدْتُمُ اسْتِبْدَالَ زَوْجِ مَّكَانَ زَوْجِ : If you desire to take one wife in place of another wife (4:21). بَدْنَ aor. يَبْدُنُ inf. noun بُدْنٌ and بَدَنٌ and بَدَنَ aor. يَبْدُنُ inf. noun بَدَانًا and بَدَانَةً[ : He or she became big bodied or corpulent. بَدَنٌ : Body without head and arms and legs; body without soul; the whole of the أَبْدَانٌ جَسَدٌ plural) limb or limbs of a slaughtered camel; an old man; an old mountain goat. بُدْنٌ بَدَنَةٌ plural): A she-camel brought to Mecca for sacrifice. It is also applied to a cow or a 59 28.
