بخع بدأ أَشْيَاءَهُمْ : And diminish not unto people their things )7:86( وَهُمْ فِيْهَا لَا يُبْخَسُوْنَ : And they shall not be wronged therein )11:16(. They say لاَبَخَسَ فِيْهِ وَلاَ شَطَطَ : There is no deficiency in it, nor excess. وَشَرَوْهُ بِشَمَنٍ بَخْسٍ : And they sold (or bought) him for a paltry or unjust price )12:21( فَلاَ يَخَافُ بَخْسًا وَلاَ رَهَقًا : He has no fear of loss or injustice (72:14). و 28 بَخَعَ ]aor. يَبْخَعُ inf. noun بَخَعَ الذَّبِيحَةَ بَخْعٌ : He slaughtered the beast 28 with extraordinary effectiveness so that he reached the back of the neck. بخع therefore, means doing a thing with extraordinary effectiveness. بَخَعَ نَفْسَهُ : He killed himself with grief. بَخَعَ لَهُ نَفْسَهُ : He acted sincerely towards him. فَلَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ : May be thou wilt kill thyself with grief. (18:7). 28 بَخِلَ ]aor. يَبْخَلُ inf. noun بَخَلًا and بَخُلَ aor. يَبْخُغُلُ inf. noun بُخْلًا[ : He was or became niggardly, stingy or avaricious. بَخِلَ بِكَذَا : He was or became niggardly of such a thing. بَخِلَ عَنْهُ : He withheld with niggardliness from him. بَخِلَ : He was niggardly. بُخْلٌ : Niggardliness, stinginess or avarice: Cont of كَرَم and جُودٌ )generosity( . بَخِلُوا به : They became niggardly of it )9:76( مَنْ يَّبْخَلْ فَإِنَّمَا يَبْخَلُ عَنْ نَّفْسِهِ : Who is niggardly, is niggardly against his own soul )47:39( يَأْمُرُوْنَ النَّاسَ بِالْبُخْلِ : They enjoin on people stinginess (4:38). بَدَأَ ]aor. يَبْدَأُ inf. noun بَدَأَ بِهِ [بَدْاً or إِبْتَدَأَ بِهِ : He began with it; he made it to be first; he gave precedence to it. بَدَأَ الشَّيْءُ : It (a thing( began; originated; or came into existence for the first time. بَدًا الْخَلْقَ or أَبْدَأَ : He (God) began or originated the creation. بَدَأَ الشَّيْءَ and أَبْدَأَهُ and إِبْتَدَأَ : He did the thing first originally not after the example of anything preceding. بَدَأَ أَوْ أَبْدَأَ اللهُ الْخَلْقَ : God began or originated the creation. بَدَأُ الْبَشْرَ : He dug the well for the first In the : فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي بُدِئَ فِيْهِ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ i. e. he fell sick بدى = بَدَأَ . time ४० days in which the Prophet of God fell sick. فَبَدَا بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ : So he began with their sacks )12:77( اللَّهُ يَبْدَءُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ : Allah originates the creation, then reproduces it )30:12( إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِى وَيُعِيدُ : Surely, He creates first and reproduces it )5:14( هُمْ بَدَعُوْكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ : They attacked you first )9:13(. 57
