يوم يوم كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ : In a day the duration of which is a thousand years )32:6( إِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ مِثْلَ يَوْمِ الْأَحْزَابِ : I fear for you the like of the day of destruction of the parties )40:31( أَيَّامٌ )plural of يَوْمٌ( : Days. أَيَّامًا مَّعْدُوْدَاتٍ : For a fixed number of days )2:185(. The word also means dominion, wealth, sovereignty, rule الْأَيَّامُ نُدَاوِلُهَا بَيْنَ النَّاسِ : And such days We cause to alternate among people )3:141( أَيَّامُ اللَّهِ : The days of favours and punishments of Allah. ذَكِّرْهُمْ بَأَيَّامِ اللَّهِ : And remind them of the days of Allah )146( أَيَّامُ الْعَرَبِ : The contests and fights of the Arabs إِبْنُ الْأَيَّامِ : A person well-acquainted with the conditions and circumstances of the time. يَوْمٌ : A day's journey: يَأْتِيْنَا يَوْمَ يَوْمَ : He comes to us day after day. 847
