فن فلق light of dawn; the plain appearing of the truth after its having been dubious; a depressed place between two hills or elevated grounds; Hell; the whole creation; a cleft of fissure in a mountain; what remains of milk in the bottom of the bowl. اَعُوْذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ : I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn or the creation )1132( فَالِق )act part( فَالِقُ الْإِصْبَاحِ : The Breaker of the dawn (69) means, creator, cleaving or the cleaver of the dry grain. إِنَّ الْبُكَاءَ فَالِقٌ كَبِدِي : Verily weeping is cleaving my liver. إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوى : Verly, it is Allah Who causes the grain and the date-stones to cleave asunder or sprout )6:96( فَلْقُ الرَّأْسِ : The middle of the head or the parting place of the hair. 28 فَلَكَ ]aor. يَفْلُكُ inf. noun فَلَكَتِ الْجَارِيَةُ فَلْفٌ : The girl became round in the breast or her breast became round. فَلَكَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْأَمْرِ : The man persisted in the affair. افلا ( فَلَكٌ plural): The place of the revolving of the stars; the vault of heaven; firmament; celestial sphere. فَلَكُ السَّمَاءِ : The north celestial pole فَلَكٌ also signifies: The circuit or main part of anything; orbit; waves of the sea in a state of commotion; a hill or mound of sand, having round it a wide expanse of land; pieces of land or of sand having a circular form and elevated what is around them. كُلِّ فِي فَلَكِ يَسْبَحُوْنَ : All of them float in an orbit )36:41( قُلْكٌ : A ship or ships (singular and plural, masculine and feminine( وَيَصْنَعُ الْفُلْكَ : And he was making the Ark )11:39( إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونَ : When he fled to the laden ship )37:141( وَتَرَى الْفُلْكَ : And you see the ships (35:13). فلان فَنَّ is a substitute for the proper name of a human being, each without آن meaning such a one or such a man )فلانة feminine( لَمْ اتَّخِذْ فُلانًا خَلِيْلاً : I had not taken such a one for a friend )25:29(. ]aor. يَقُنُّ inf. noun فَنَّ الْإِبِلَ . [ فَنَّ : He drove away the camels. فَتَّنَ النَّاسَ : He made the people to consist of different sorts, not of one tribe. فَتَنَ الْحَدِيثَ : He diversified the narrative. فَنَّنَ رَأْيَهُ : He varied his opinion, not keeping steadily to one opinion. تَفْنِينٌ : A state of confusion or disorder. فَنَّ : A sort or species or category or variety of a thing, a state or condition (syn. a way or a 663
