فزع knew not what he should do. فَرِيْتُ : I wondered. اَلْفَرِيُّ : Slit or cut; a thing forged or fabricated or rather unknown or unheard of. هُوَ يَفْرِى الْفَرِيَّ : He affects what is wonderful. لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْئًا فَرِيًّا : Thou hast done a thing hitherto unknown or a thing deemed strange or a thing of great magnitude or gravity (19:28); also applied to a man meaning a forger or fabricator of lies. افْتَرى كَذِبًا )inf. noun اِفْتِرَاءٌ( : He forged or fabricated a lie. فَمَنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ الْكَذِبَ : Who so forges or devises or fabricates a lie against Allah )3:95( مُفْتَرَى )Pass part: Fabricated, forged or invented or falsely devised. اِفْکَ مُّفْتَرَى : A forged lie )34:44( مُفْتَرٍ : A forger, fabricator or liar. اَنْتَ مُفْتَرٍ : Thou art but a liar )16:102(. مُفْتَرُوْنَ and مُفْتَرِيْنَ are plurals (11:51 and 17:153( مَفْتَرَيَاتٌ )plural of مُفْتَرَيَةٌ( : Forged or fabricated. سُوَرٍ مِثْلِهِ مُفْتَرَيَاتٍ : Chapters like it fabricated or forged (11: 14). ]aor. يَفْرُّ and يَفِرُّ inf. noun فَرٌّ[ : He became separated. فَرَّ عَنْهُ : He turned away from him. فَرَّ قَلْبُهُ : His heart heaved by reason of fear. فَرَّ )inf. noun فَرَازَةٌ( : He became excited with ardour or eagerness. فَرَّ فُلانًا عَنْ مَّوْضِعِهِ : He frightened, disturbed, removed or unsettled such a one from his place and made his courage fly away. فَرَّهُ : He deceived him and overcame him. اِسْتَفَزَّهُ : It (fear( excited him to lightness and unsteadiness; it unsettled him; incited or excited him to be promptly obedient and submissive to him and to that which he desired of him; he expelled him and disturbed or unsettled him so as to excite him to lightness and unsteadiness; he or it deceived him so as to cast him into destruction; he slew him. وَاسْتَفْزِزْ مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ مِنْهُمْ : And entice whomsoever of them thou canst )17:65( فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْتَفِزَّهُمْ مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ : He desired to frighten or scare them away from the land (17:104). و فَزْعٌ : He aor. يَفْزَعُ inf. noun فَزَعٌ and فَزَعَ aor. يَفْزَعُ inf. noun feared, was afraid, frightened or terrified. فَزِعَ مِنْهُ : He feared him. According to Imam Raghib فَرَعٌ signifies a "shrinking and an aversion" that comes upon a man, "from a thing causing fear or fright" and is a kind of جَزَعَ )q. v. ) and one should not say 650 فری فَزَّ فَزِعَ
