غل رود غَفْلَةٍ : In a state of unmindfulness, want of requisite knowledge )19:40( عَنْ غَفْلَةٍ : In consequence of unmindfulness. غَافِلَةٌ )feminine of غَافِلٌ and غَافِلاتٌ plural( : الْغَافِلاتِ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ : Unaware (of what the mischief-mongers do) believing woman (24:24). ]aor. يَغُلُّ inf. noun غَلٌ [ : It entered into a thing. غَلَّ الْمَاءُ بَيْنَ الْأَشْجَارِ : The water ran amid the trees. غَلَّ بَصَرُهُ : His eyes deviated from the right direction. غَلَّ الشَّيْءَ )inf. nouns غَلّ and غُلُوْلٌ(. He took the thing and hid it amid his foot; he stole and was unfaithful in respect of a thing privily. غَلّ )inf. noun غُلُولٌ(. He acted unfaithfully or he acted unfaithfully in relation to the spoil or booty . وَ مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيِّ أَنْ يَّغُلَّ : And it is not possible for a Prophet to act dishonestly with respect to spoil or booty )3:162( غَلَّلَهُ وَ غَلَّ فلانًا : He put upon the neck of such a one the غُلّ i. e. ring or 28 collar of iron for the neck or pinion or manacle for the hand; fetter. خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوْهُ : Seize him and fetter him )69:31( غُلَّتْ يَدُهُ إِلَى عُنقه : His hand was withheld from expenditure. )غَلَلْتُ يَدَكَ إِلى غُلَّتْ أَيْدِيْهِمْ . عُنُقِكَ : Their hands shall be tied or prevented from spending )5:65( مَغْلُولَةٌ )pass. part from غَلَلَ( . Tied up. يَدُ اللَّهِ مَغْلُوْلَةٌ God's hands are tied up or withheld from spending (5:65). U تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُوْلَةً إِلَى عُنُقِكَ : Do not keep thy hand chained to thy neck; do not withhold thy hand from spending )17:30( غُلُّ )said of a man): He was or became vehemently thirsty. غُلّ : A ring or collar of iron which is put upon the neck; a shackle for the neck or for the hand i. e. a ring or collar for the neck or a pinion or manacle for the handهَذَا غُلُّ فِي عُنُقِكَ : It is inseparable from you and the punishment of it will stick to you, a fatiguing and difficult task; used metonymically, it denotes a wife, thirst or vehement thirst; burning of the inside from thirst, from anger and vexation. اَغْلالٌ )plural) shackles, fetters, iron collars, fatiguing and difficult tasks, manacles etc. سَلاسِلَ وَأَغْلالاً : Chains and iron collars )765( غَلَّ صَدْرُهُ ]aor يَغِلُّ inf. noun غِلٌ and غَلِيْلٌ His bosom was or became affected with rancour, malevolence, malice or spite and with dishonesty or insincerity. غل : Rancour, malevolence, malice or spite, dishonesty or insincerity . فِي صُدُوْرِهِمْ مِنْ غِلَّ : Rancour in their breasts )15:48(. 620 غفل غَلَّ
