عار عان under سَنَا aor. يَسْنُو and see also under حَوْلَ or فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ حَالَ : In every year )9:126( عَامَيْنِ - Dual )31:15(. عَانَ aor. يَعُوْنُ inf. noun عَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ عَوْنُ : The woman was or became of middle age. عَوَانٌ : A woman, a beast or anything of middle age )2:69( عَوَانٌ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ : Of middle age; full grown. الْحَرْبُ الْعَوَانُ : The severest battle; land watered by rain. عَاوَنَهُ : He aided helped, assisted him. تَعَاوَنَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا : They aided assisted, helped each other. تَعَاوَنُوْا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوى : Help one another or each other in righteousness and piety )53( اَعَانَهُ : He helped, assisted or aided him. رَبِّ اَعِنِّي وَ لا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ : My Lord, help me and do not help or aid against me. أَعَانَهُ عَلَيْهِ قَوْمٌ الْخَرُوْنَ : Other people have helped him with it )255( اِسْتَعَانَهُ and اِسْتَعَانَ بِهِ : He sought, desired, demanded or begged of him aid, assistance or help. اِسْتَعِينُوا بِاللَّهِ : Seek help of or from God )7:129( الْمُسْتَعَانُ : He from whom help is sought وَاللهُ الْمُسْتَعَانُ : Allah Whose help is sought (12:19). عَى لک ]aor. يَعَيُّ and عَيِىَ aor. يَعْيَى and يَعَيَّ inf. noun عَيٌّ and عَيَّ بِأَمْرِهِ عَيَاءٌ أَوْ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ وَعَيِيَ : He lacked power, strength or ability to perform or accomplish his affair; was unable to execute it thoroughly, or found not the right way to do it; عَيِىَ فِي مَنْطِقِهِ : He found not the right way to express himself. اَلْعَيُّ is the cont of عَيَّ الْأَمْرَ الْبَيَانُ : He was ignorant of the affair. اَعْيًا : He was or became disabled or incapacitated; he was or became tired, fatigued or wearied. أَعْيَاهُ : It fatigued, tired or wearied him; it incapacitated or disabled him. وَلَمْ يَعْىَ بِخَلْقِهِنَّ : He (God) was not wearied by their creation )46:34( أَعْيَا بِهِ بَعِيَّرُهُ : His camel became tired or jaded and lagged behind him. عَابَ ]aor. يَعِيْبُ inf. noun عَابَ الشَّيْءُ عَيْبٌ : the thing was or became faulty, defective. عَابَةُ : He made it or rendered it defective, faulty or unsound. أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَعِيْبَهَا : I desired to make it defective or damage it )1880( عَيْبٌ : Defect, imperfection, blemish, unsoundness, fault. ०४ عَارَ ]aor. يَعِيرُ inf. noun عَارَ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَارٌ : He went away into the land : He came and went moving to and fro, or he (a horse 602
