(24:59); any place of concealment ( Ú ø Ó » Û ø à º ) proper for veiling or covering; a gap or opening or a breach or any gap or opening or breach in the frontier of a hostile country from which one fears slaughter. Sometimes it is applied as an epithet to an indeterminate substantive, and in this case it is applied to a singular and to a plural, without variation, and to a masc. and a feminine like an inf. noun. ]ô á $ eö nö ç » iø ßø ^  ø ç »  ø é º : Our houses are open, exposed or defenceless (33:14). The epithet being here singular, and the substantive to which it is applied, plural. ]ø Ö» à ø ç »  ø é ö Ú ô à ø ] Ö» r ô fø ^ Ù ô (or the plural  ø ç »  ø ] l º ) : Clefts or fissures of mountains.  ø ^ Ñ ø [aor. mø à ö ç » Ñ ö inf. noun  ø ç » Ñ º ]  ø ^ Î ø ä ü  ø à » Ò ø  ø ] and  ø ç $ Î ø ä ü : He or it hindered, prevented or withheld him, turned him back or away; retarded him; or diverted him by occupying him otherwise from such a thing. Ú ö à ø ç ôù Î ô n» à ø (plural) (33:19).  ø ç ø ] ñô Ð ö ] Ö  $ â »  ô : Casualties or impediments, obstacles of fortunes.  ø ^ Ù ø [aor. mø à ö ç » Ù ö inf. noun  ø ç » Ù º ]  ø ^ Ù ø Ê ô o » u ö Ó » Û ô ä´ : He deviated from the right course or he acted unjustly in his judgement. ]ø Ö ^ $ iø à ö ç » Öö ç » ] : That you may not act unjustly or be inclined unjustly to one wife. . . . . . (4:4) or that you may not have a numerous family, (see also under 1065); that you may not become poor and in want.  ø ^ Ù ø Ê ô o ] Ö» Û ô n»  ø ] á ô : He acted unfaithfully or he was unfaithful i. e. ì ø ^ á ø.  ø ^ Ù ø ] Ö» Û ô n»  ø ] á ø : The balance was or became defective and declined from the right course.  ø ^ Ù ø  ø nø ^ Öø ä ü : He fed, nourished or supported his family. ]ô e»  ø ]» eô Û ø à » iø à ö ç » Ù ö : Begin thou with those whom thou supports thy family.  ø ^ Ù ø ] Ö  $ q ö Ø ö : The man had a large family or household; he was or became poor.  ø ^ Ù ø ]ø Ú »  ö ] Ö» Ï ø ç » Ý ô : The affair of the people became hard, severe or distressing.  ø ^ Ù ø ] Ö  $ o » ð ö Ê ö ¡ Þ÷ ^ : The thing oppressed or distressed such a one.  ø ^ Ý ø [aor. mø à ö ç » Ý ö inf. noun  ø ç » Ý º ]  ø ^ Ý ø Ê ô o ] Ö» Û ø ^ ð ô : He swam in the water (syn.  ø fø x ø ) ; according to some, ]ø Ö» à ø ç » Ý ö signifies the coursing along in water with immersion of oneself, and the latter the coursing along upon water without immersion of oneself.  ø ^ Ý º (or u ø ç » Ù º ) : Syn with  ø ßø è º : A year.
