طاع طار that falls from the upper part of a mountain or the echo. كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ : Like a huge mountain )26:64(. طَارَ ]aor يَطُوْرُ inf. noun طَوْرٌ and طَارَ حَوْلَهُ طَوْرَانٌ : He hovered round about it. طَارَ بِفُلان : He drew near to such a one. طَوْرٌ : A time; He did that time : فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ طَوْرًا بَعْدَ طَوْرٍ أَطْوَارُ one time (plural after time. جِئْتُهُ أَطْوَارًا : I came to him many times. طَوْرٌ means, state; condition; quality or mode or manner; form or appearance. النَّاسُ أَطْوَارٌ : Mankind are of diverse sorts and conditions. وَقَدْ خَلَقَكُمْ أَطْوَارًا : And He has created you in different forms and different conditions, or of various aspects and dispositions, or by diverse stages, or one time a dot of blood, and one time a hump of flesh, another time a bone )71:15( طَوْرٌ also means, quantity; measure; extent; limit. جَاوَزَ فُلانٌ طَوْرَهُ : Such a one has exceeded his proper measure or extent. It also means a thing that is equal in length and breadth or correspondent to a thing. طَوْرٌ : The yard of a house; a mountain or any mountain that produces trees. وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَكُمُ الطَّوْرَ : And We raised high above you the mountain )264( اَلطَّوْرُ has been applied in the Holy Qur'an to Mount Sinai which is also called 23:21) طُوْرِ سَيْنَاءَ( and 953) طُوْرِ سِيْنِيْنَ( also طَاعَ ]aor. يَطُوْعُ inf. noun طَاعَ بِفُلان طَوْعٌ : He was or became submissive to such a one طَاعَ لَهُ الْمَرْتَعُ : The pasturage enabled him to pasture his cattle upon it and was ample and accessible to him. طَاعَةٌ) أَطَاعَهُ and اِطَاعَةٌ inf. nouns(. أَمَرَهُ فَاَطَاعَهُ : He commanded him and He obeyed him. مَنْ يُطِعِ الرَّسُوْلَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ الله : Whoso obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah (4:81) signifies he consented, or he complied with what was desired of him. أَطَاعَ الشَّجَرَةُ : The trees had ripe fruit that might be gathered. According to Imam Raghib الطَّاعَةُ is like الطَّوْعُ but is mostly used as meaning obedience to a command. It sometimes means submission or submissiveness. طَاعَةٌ مَّعْرُوْفَةٌ : Actual or known obedience )24:54( فُلانٌ طَوْعُ الْمَكَارِهِ : Such a one is submissive to misfortunes being subject thereto. فَرَسٌ طَوْعُ الْعِنَانِ : A tractable horse. عَمِلَهُ طَوْعًا : He did it willingly.
