اسر (55:55). اسا اَسْرَ aor. يَأْسِرُ inf. noun 1) : اَسَرَةَ اَسْرًا( He bound or tied him; (2) he made him a captive or took him prisoner; (3) He (God) created him or formed or fashioned him in the best manner. اَسْر )inf noun): (1) Strength of make or form; (2) strength of natural disposition. فُلَانٌ شَدِيدُ اَسْرِ الْخَلْقِ : Such a one is of strong, firm or compact make or form شَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ : We have strengthened their make or form or their joints )76:29( جَاءَ الْقَوْمُ بِاَسْرِهِمْ : The people came all together. أَسَارَى اَسِيْرٌ( )plural): (1) Shackled; )2( imprisoned; (3) a captive or prisoner مَا كَانَ لِنَبِيِّ أَنْ يَكُوْنَ لَهُ أَسْراى : It does not behove a Prophet that he should have captives (8:68). وَيُطْعِمُوْنَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ مِسْكِيْنًا وَيَتِيْمًا وَّاسِيْرًا : And they feed the poor, the orphan and the captive on account of His love (76:9). و اَسِفَ ]aor. يَأْسَفُ inf. noun اَسَفًا and 1) : اَسِفَ عَلَيْهِ [اَسِفًا( He grieved, lamented or regretted most intensely over it; (2) he was angry with him. آسَفَه : He angered him; (2) made him angry and grieved him; (3) he made him to grieve or lament. يَا أَسَفَى عَلَى يُوسُفَ : O my grief over Joseph )12:85( وَلَمَّا رَجَعَ مُوْسَى إِلَى قَوْمِهِ غَضْبَانَ آسِفًا : And when Moses returned to his people indignant and grieved )7:151( فَلَمَّا آسَفُوْنَا انْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ : So when they excited Our anger, We exacted retribution from them (43:56). أَسَنَ ]aor. يَأْسُنُ and يَأْسِنُ and اَسِنَ aor. يَأْسَنُ inf. noun اَسْنًا and أَسَنَ أُسُوْنًا أَوْأَسِنَ الْمَاءُ : The water altered for the worse in odour or in taste and colour from some such cause as long standing. آسِنٌ and اَسِنٌ : Altered for the worse in odour or in taste and colour. مِنْ مَّاءٍ غَيْرِ آسن : From water which has not altered for the worse in odour or taste (47:16). اسَا ]aor. يَأْسُرْ inf. noun اَسْوًا and أَسًا بَيْنَهُمْ أَسًا : He effected a reconciliation between them. اَسَاهُ بفُلان : He made him such a one as an object of imitation for him. آسَيْتُهُ بِمَالِيْ : I made him my object of imitation in respect of my property. لِي فِي فُلَانِ أَسْوَةٌ : I have an example or exemplar or pattern or model in such a one. 1) : أَسْوَةٌ( An example (2) an examplar; (3) a pattern or model; )4( an object of imitation. لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُوْلِ اللَّهِ أَسْوَةٌ : Indeed 19
