Some think that ]ø Ö  $ ã » ç ö and ]ø Ö» Ç ø Ë » × ø è ö and ]ø Ö ßôù  » nø ^ á ö are one in signification but according to others ]ø Ö  $ ã » ç ö is a slight Æ ø Ë » × ø è º of that which is within the scope of the retention faculty, such as when one's attention is roused by the least rousing thereof, whereas ]ø Ö ßôù  » nø ^ á ö denotes its passing away from the memory entirely. Similarly some say that  ø ã ø ^ Ê ô o ] Ö  $ o » ð ô means, he neglected or omitted the thing unknowingly and  ø ã ø ^ Â ø ß» ä ö means, he neglected the thing knowingly.  ø ã ø ^ ]ô Öø n» ä ô : He looked at him or it with motionless eye. (  ø ^ å õ and  ø ã » ç ø ] á º act. part. meaning: Unmindful; neglectful, heedless or inadvertent).  ø ^ â ö ç » á ø is the plural. Ê ô o » Æ ø Û »  ø é õ  ø ^ â ö ç » á ø : Heedless in ignorance (51:12). Â ø à »  ø ¡ø iô ã ô Ü »  ø ^ â ö ç » á ø : Unmindful of their Prayer (107:6).  ø ^ ð ø [aor. mø  ö ç » ð ö inf. noun  ø ç ø ] ð º and  ø ç » ð º ]  ø ^ ð ø ] Ö  $ o » ð ö : The thing was or became bad, evil, foul, ugly etc.  ø ^ ð ø Ú ø ^ Ê ø Ã ø Ø ø Ê ö ¡ ø á º : Evil is what such a one has done. æ ø  ø « ð ø  ø fô n» ¡ ÷ : And an evil way (4:23).  ø ^ ð ø l »  ô n»  ø iö þ ³ ä ü : His nature was or became bad.  ø ^ ð ø å ü (aor. mø  ö ç » ¨ ö å ü inf. noun  ø ç » ð º and  ö ç » ð º and  ø ç ø ] ð º transitive verb) : He did evil to him; he did to him that which he disliked or hated; he displeased, grieved, or vexed him.  ö © » l ö æ ø q » ä ø Ê ö ¡ á õ : I said, may God remove the face of such a one far from good or prosperity. Öô nø  ö ç » ñö ç » ] æ ö q ö ç » â ø Ó ö Ü » : That they may cover your faces with grief (17:8).  ø ^ ð ø eô ä´ ¾ ø ß % ä ü : He held an evil opinion about him.  ô n» o * eô ã ô Ü » : He was grieved on account of them.  ô n» òø k » æ ö q ö ç » å ö ] Ö $  ô m» à ø Ò ø Ë ø  ö æ » ] : The faces of disbelievers will become grief-stricken (67:28). ]ø  ø « ð ø : He did evil or ill. ]ø  ø ^ ð ø ]ô Öø n» ä ô and ]ø  ø ^ ð ø Öø ä ü and ]ø  ø ^ ð ø Â ø × ø n» ä ô : He did evil to him. æ ø ]ô á » ]ø  ø ^» iö Ü » Ê ø × ø ã ø ^ : And if you do evil, it will go against them (17:8).  ø ç » ð º (applied to a man and action)  ø q ö Ø ö  ø ç » ð õ : A man of evil nature or deeds; a bad or wicked man.
