سحر سحب سَحَبَ ]aor. يَسْحَبُ inf. noun سَحَبَهُ سَحْيٌ : He dragged or drew it along upon the ground. سَحَبَتِ الرِّيْحُ التَرَابَ : The wind drew along the dust upon the ground. يُسْحَبُوْنَ فِي الْحَمِيمِ : They will be dragged into boiling water )40:72( جَاءَ يَسْحَبُ ذَيْلَهُ : He came walking haughtily. سَحَبَ الرَّجُلُ : The man ate and drank vehemently. سَحَابٌ )singular( سَحَابَةٌ( : Clouds (so called because the winds draw them along(. مَطَرَتْهُمُ السَّحَابَةُ : The cloud rained upon them. يَقُوْلُوْا سَحَابٌ مَّرْكُوْمٌ : They say: "Clouds piled up" )52:45( لک سَحَتَ ]aor. يَسْحَتُ inf. noun سَحْتُ[ : He earned unlawful money. سَحَتَ شَعْرَهُ : He removed his hair utterly in shaving سَحَتَ الشَّحْمَ عَنِ اللحم : He peeled off the fat from the flesh سَحَتَ وَجْهَ الْأَرْضِ : He effaced the traces from the face of the earth (as also سَحَّتَ and أَسْحَتَهُ . أَسْحَتَ : He destroyed him or it; he destroyed it or him completely; he exterminated it; he distressed or afflicted him; he slaughtered him. فَيُسْحِتَكُمْ بِعَذَابٍ : He (God) will completely destroy you by some punishment )2062( سُحْتُ and سُحُتُ : A thing that is forbidden, prohibited or unlawful, or what is disapproved or foul of gains; any property that is forbidden, not lawful to be gained nor to be eaten; anything forbidden or unlawful and of bad repute. It is also applied to signify a bribe that is given to a judge and the like. أَكْلُوْنَ لِلسُّحْتِ : Devourers of forbidden or unlawful things (5:43). The word also means, little or small in quantity or number; paltry, mean, or inconsiderable. مَالَهُ سُحْتُ : His property may be destroyed with impunity; دَمُهُ سُحْتُ: His blood may be destroyed with impunity. مَالٌ سُحْتٌ : A property destined to be destroyed. رَجُلٌ سُحْتُ : A man who has a big belly and is much fond of eating and is not satisfied with it. فَإِنِّي تُسْحَرُوْنَ سَحَرَ ]aor. يَسْحَرُ inf. noun سَحَرَهُ سِحْرٌ : He hit or hurt his heart. سَحَرَهُ عَنْ كَذَا : He turned him from such a thing or عَنْ وَجْهِهِ i. e. from his course, way or manner of being سُحِرَ : He was turned from his : How then are you being turned away from your course )2390( سَحَرَ : He turned him from hatred to love; he enchanted or fascinated him or it سَحْرَهُ : He enchanted or fascinated him much. سَحْرَ أَعْيُنَهُ : He enchanted or fascinated his course. 384
