زعم زرع زَارِعُوْنَ ) نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُوْنَ plural of زَارِعٌ meaning cultivators): Is it you who grow it or are We the grower? )56:65( اَلرَّاعُ )plural of الزَّارِعُ : owerstillers or cultivators يُعْجِبُ الرُّرَّاعَ : Delights the sowers )48:30( زَرْعُ : Seed; seed produce; standing corn and the like and also after it has been reaped; a sown field. Its predominant application is to wheat and barley, but it also signifies plants or herbage as one reaps. بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِیْ زَرْعٍ : In a valley having no cultivation )14:38( جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَهُمَا زَرْعًا : We placed between them corn-field )18:33( يُنْبِتُ لَكُمْ بِهِ الزَّرْعَ : He (God( grows for you corn )16:12( ) زُرُوْعٌ is plural of زُرُوْعٍ وَ مَقَامٍ زَرْعٍ كَرِيمٍ : Cornfields and the noble places )44:27( زَرْع : Offspring; children or child. هُوَ زَرْعُ فُلان : He or these are offspring of such a one. The word also means the seed of seminal fluid of a man; the fruit or harvest of a man's conduct. هَؤُلَاءِ زَرْعُ فلان : They are offsprings of such a person. بِئْسَ الزَّرْعُ زَرْعُ الْمُذْنِبِ : Evil is the fruit of the conduct of a sinner. مَزْرَعَةٌ : A place of harvest. الدُّنْيَا مَزْرَعَةُ الْآخِرَةِ : The present world is the place in which is produced the fruit or harvest to be reaped in the world to come. 。 زَرَقَ ]aor. يَزْرُقُ inf. noun زَرْقٌ زَرْقَةٌ زَرَقٌ[ He was blue-eyed or gray-eyed; he was or became blind. زَرِقَ الْمَاءُ : The water was or became clear. زَرَقَهُ بِبَصَرِهِ : He looked sharply at him. زَرْقَاءُ أَزْرَقُ feminine): Blue-eyed or blind; blind by what is commonly called a cataract in the eye; the word applied to the blade of an arrow means very clear and bright الْعَدُرُّ الْاَزْرَقُ : Fierce enemy. الْاَزْرَقُ : Hawk or falcon. نَحْشُرُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ يَوْمَئِذٍ زُرْقًا : And We shall gather the sinners on that day, blue-eyed or blind (20:103). زَرَى ]aor. يَزْرِى inf. noun ذَرْيًا and زَرَايَةً and مَزْرَيَةً and مَزْرِيَةً and مَزْرَأَةً and زَرَىَ عَلَيْهِ زُرْيًا and اِزْدَرَاهُ : He found fault with him; he derided him or ridiculed him; he mocked at him. إِزْدَرَاهُ also means, he held him in light estimation or despised him. تَزْدَرِي أَعْيُنُكُمْ : Your eyes despise (11:32). زَعَمَ ]aor. يَزْعَمُ and يَزْعُمُ inf. noun زَعْمٌ and زُعْمٌ and زِعْمٌ[ : He said or asserted. زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ كَذَا : He said or asserted that it was thus, either truly or falsely, mostly used in relation to a thing which is false 359
