ركب cave was situated, or the name of their dog. أَصْحَابَ الْكَهْفِ وَالرَّقِيمِ : The people of the cave and the inscription )18:10( مَرْقُوْمٌ : Written; sealed, stamped or imprinted; a writing marked with dots or points. كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُوْمٌ : A written Book; a sealed and stamped Book )3:21( دَابَّةٌ مَّرْقُوْمَةٌ : A cauterized beast. اَرْضُ مَّرْقُوْمَةٌ : A land in which there is little herbage. دَاهِيَةٌ رَّقِيمَةٌ : A great calamity. رقی He : رَقِيَ الْجَبَلَ وَإِلَيْهِ وَفِيْهِ وَارْتَقَى [رَقْى and رُقِيٌّ inf. noun يَرْقَى aor رَقِيَ 28 ascended the mountain. رَقَاهُ aor. يَرْقِى inf. noun رُقْيَةٌ( : He charmed him or fascinated him by uttering a spell. : (Act. part) One who charms, a charmer; one who ascends. وَقِيْلَ مَنْ رَاقٍ : And it is said: Who is the wizard or charmer (to save him)? )75:28(; who will ascend with it? رُقْيَةٌ : A charm or spell, either uttered or written. رَفَّاءٌ : A charmer or one who habitually practises charming; one who ascends mountain often and much. تَرَاقِ is the plural of تَرْقُوةٌ which means collar-bone إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ : When it comes up to the throat )75:27( تَرَى فِي الْعِلْمِ : He rose step by step in knowledge. مِرْقَاةٌ : A ladder. أَوْ تَرْقِي فِي السَّمَاءِ : Or thou ascend up into heaven )17:04( وَلَنْ نَؤْمِنَ لِرُقِيَّكَ : And we will not believe in thy ascension )17:94( فَلْيَرْتَقُوْا فِى الْاَسْبَابِ : So let them ascend with the means )38:11(. 28 He : رَكِبَ الدَّابَّةَ أَوْ عَلَى الدَّابَّةِ مَرْكَبُ and رُكُوبٌ inf. noun يَرْكَبُ . aor] رَكِبَ rode or rode up; he mounted or mounted upon the beast. رَكِبَ الْبَحْرَ : He voyaged upon the sea. رَكِبَ السَّفِيْنَةَ : He went on board the ship. رَكِبَ الطَّرِيقَ : He went up trod or travelled the road. رَكِبْتُ أَثَرَهُ : I followed close after him. رَكِبَ ذَنْبًا : He committed a sin. رَكِبَ رَأْسَهُ : He went at random. رَكِبَنِي الدَّيْنُ : I became much in debt. رَكِبَ هَوَاهُ : He followed and submitted to his desire. فَإِذَا رَكِبُوْا فِي الْفُلْكِ : And when they go on board a ship )29:66( لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ : You shall surely go on from one stage to another )18:20( رَاكِبٌ : Riding a rider ) رُكَابٌ and رُكْبَانٌ and رُكُوْبٌ and رَكْبٌ are plurals(. فَرِجَالاً أَوْ رُكْبَانًا : Then on foot or riding )2:240(. وَالرَّكْبُ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ : And the cavalcade or caravan was below you Some of them they use for riding : فَمِنْهَارَ كُوْبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُوْنَ (8:43) 339
