رضع رصد أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُوْنَ : Who follow the right course )498( مُرْشِدٌ )act part. ): Guide. فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا Thou wilt find for him no helper, guide or friend )18:18( اَرْشَدَهُ : He made him to follow a right course or be directed him aright or to the right way. رَصَدَ ]aor. يَرْصُدُ inf. noun رَصْدٌ and رَصَدَهُ رَصَدٌ : He lay in wait for him in the way; he wanted or waited for him and so رَصَدَة and أَرْصَدَ رَصَدٌ لَهُ and مَرْصَدٌ and مِرْصَادٌ ,all signify the same i. e. a place where one lies in wait or watches foe and enemy : رَصَدٌ also means lying or one who lies in wait or ambush or a watcher; يَجِدْ لَهُ شِهَابًا رَّصَدًا : Finds a shooting star in wait or ambuch for him )72:10( يَسْلُكُ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ رَصَدًا : Then He causes a guard to go before him and behind him )72:28( رَصَدَ Also means, a small quantity of rain and of herbage أَرْصَدَ لَهُ الْاَمْرَ : He prepared for him the affair رَصَدَهُ بِالْخَيْرِ : He watched or waited for him with what was good or evil (اِرْصَدٌ is inf. noun from وَإِرْصَادًا لِمَنْ . I prepared for him punishment : اَرْصَدْتُ لَهُ الْعُقُوْبَةَ . أَرْصَدَ حَارَبَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُوْلَهُ : And prepare an ambush for him who warred against Allah and His Messenger )9:107( مَرْصَدٌ and مِرْصَادٌ : Hiding place; ambush قَعَدَ لَهُ بِالْمَرْصَدِ and قَعَدَ لَهُ بِالْمِرْصَادِ and قَعَدَ لَهُ بِالرَّصَدِ : He lay in wait for him in the way. أَنَا لَكَ بِالْمِرْصَادِ : I am in the place of lying in wait for thee i. e. thou canst not escape me. Adee says: إِنَّ الْمَنَايَا لِلرِّجَالِ بِالْمَرْصَدِ : Verily deaths are lying in wait or in a place of lying in wait for men. وَاقْعُدُوْا لَهُمْ كُلُّ مَرْصَدٍ : And lie ye in wait for them or at every place of ambush )95( إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالْمِرْصَادِ : Verily thy Lord is on the watch or lies in wait to punish them )89:15( بَيْتُ الرَّصَدِ : Observatory. رَضِعَ ]aor. يَرْضَعُ and رَضَعَ aor. يَرْضَعُ and يَرْضِعُ inf. noun رَضَعًا and رَضَاعًا and رِضَاعًا and رَضَاعَةً and رَضِعَ الْوَلَدُ أُمَّهُ رِضَاعَةً : The child sucked the breast of his mother. رَضِعَ اللُّؤْمَ مِنْ ثَدْيِ أُمِّهِ : He sucked meanness from the breast of his mother, i. e. he was born in : He begs of men. لَوْمَ وَ رَضَعَ : He was or هُو يَرْضَعُ النَّاسَ meanness. became mean and he sucked from the teat of the she-camel and did not milk it lest anyone should know of his doing so and should ask of her milk رَضَعَتْ اَلْبَانُهَا : Their milk became little in 328
