خلص خلد long ) أَطَالَ الْإِقَامَةَ( ; and خَلَدَ فِي الدَّارِ : He remained or continued incessantly, always and for ever in a house, not going forth from it. خَلَدَ )aor. يَخْلُدُ inf. noun خَلْدٌ and أَخْلَدَ : He was slow in becoming hoary when advanced in years. وَيَخْلُدْ فِيْهِ مُهَانًا : And he will abide therein abased )25:70( لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُوْنَ : As though you will live for ever )2630( أَخْلَدَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ أَوْ بِالْمَكَانِ : He dwelt in the house or dwelt for long. به أَخْلَدَ : He kept or clave to him. أَخْلَدَ إِلَيْهِ : He inclined to him and relied upon him. وَلَكِنَّهُ اَخْلَدَ إِلَى الْاَرْضِ : But he inclined to the earth )7:177( أَخْلَدَهُ : He or it caused him to stay or dwell for long or stay or dwell for ever. يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ : He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal )104:4( خُلْدٌ وَخُلُوْدٌ : Perpetuity; immortality; the state of perpetual existence. دَارُ الْخُلْدِ : Paradise وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشَرٍ مِّنْ قَبْلِكَ الْخُلْدَ : We have given immortality to no mortal before thee )21:35( ذلِكَ يَوْمُ الْخُلُوْدِ : This is the Day of Immortality )50:35(. خَالِدُوْنَ ) خَالِدٌ and خَالِدِينَ are plurals and خَالِدَيْنِ is dual): One who lives in a place or lives for long or for ever. هُمْ فِيْهَا خَالِدُوْنَ : They will abide therein )2:26( إِنَّهُمَا فِى النَّارِ خَالِدَيْنِ : They will indeed both be in the Fire )59:18( مُخَلَّدُوْنَ )singular( مُخَلَّدٌ( : Means always of the same age; never altering in age (or endowed with perpetual vigour); or that never becomes decrepit; adorned with earnings; or with bracelets or with ornaments. يَطُوْفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُّخَلَّدُوْنَ : There will wait upon them immortal youths or youths who will not age or adorned with bracelets etc. (56:18). خَلَصَ ]aor. يَخْلُصُ inf. noun خُلُوْسٌ : It (a) thing) was or became pure; clear or genuine. خَلَصَ الْمَاءُ مِنَ الْكَدَرِ : The water became clear from turbidness. خَلَصَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ : He withdrew or retired from the people. خَلَصُوْا نَجِيًّا : They retired conferring privately together )12:81( خَلَصَ إِلَيْهِ : He came to him. خَلَصُوْا إِلَيْهِ : They came to him and referred to him their suit for judgement أَخْلَصَ الشَّيْءَ : He took the خُلاصَةٌ ie. purified remainder of the thing أَخْلَصَتْهُ النَّارُ : The fire purified it, namely gold or silver. أَخْلَصَ النَّصِيْحَةَ : He was sincere or pure in giving advice. أَخْلَصَ لَهُ الْمَوَدَّةَ : He was sincere or pure in love or affection to him. أَخْلَصَ لِلهِ الدِّينَ : He was sincere to God in his religion. وَأَخْلَصُوْا دِيْنَهُمْ لِلَّهِ : And they are 242
