The rain became little. ì ø  ø Å ø ] Ö  $ q ö Ø ö : The property or wealth of the man became little and he refrained from giving. ì ø  ø Å ø ] Ö  $ o » ð ö : The thing became corrupt. ì ø  ø Â ø k ô ] Ö  $ Û »  ö : The sun set. ì ø  ø Â ø k ô ] » ö Ú ö ç »  ö : The affairs became variable. ì ø ^  ø Â ø ä ü : He deceived him being deceived by him; he strove, endeavoured or desired to deceive, delude beguile etc. him; he pretended to him something different from that which was in his mind.  ø â »  º ì ø ^  ô Å º : Deceitful or variable time or fortune.  ö ç » Ñ º ì ø ^  ô Â ø è º : A varying or variable market, at one time brisk, at another time dull. ì ø ^  ø Å ø is syn. with ì ø  ø Å ø with this difference that whereas one says of a man ì ø ^  ø Å ø when he has not attained his desire and ì ø  ø Å ø when he has attained his desire. mö í ø ^  ô Â ö ç » á ø ] Ö × # ä ø æ ø ] Ö $  ô m» à ø ]F Ú ø ßö ç » ] æ ø Ú ø ^ mø í »  ø Â ö ç » á ø ]ô Ö ^ $ ]ø Þ» Ë ö  ø ã ö Ü » : They would deceive Allah or those who believe, and they deceive none but themselves, only they perceive it not (2:10). mö í ø ^  ô Â ö ç » á ø ] Ö × # ä ø : They strive, endeavour or desire to deceive Allah; æ ø â ö ç ø ì ø ^  ô Â ö ã ö Ü » : And He will punish them for their deception; ì ø ^  ô Å º (act. part. ): Deceiver; requiter. ì ø  ø á ø Or ì ø ^  ø á ø [aor. mö í ø ^  ô á ö inf. noun Ú ö í ø ^  ø Þø è º ] ì ø ^  ø Þø ä ü : He became his friend or secret or private friend; he associated or kept company with him. Ú ö í ø ^  ø Þø è º also signifies the contracting of the eyes in holding amatory and enticing talk or conversation with another, the latter doing the same. ì ô  » á º ( ]ø ì »  ø ] á º plural): A friend, or a secret or private friend; a companion or an associate; an associate affected with sensual appetency. ì ô  » á ö ] Ö» r ø ^  ô mø è ô : The friend etc. of the girl. æ ø Ö ^ Ú ö j $ í ô  ô p » ]ø ì »  ø ] á õ : Not taking secret paramours (5:6). æ ø Ö ^ Ú ö j $ í ô  F l ô ]ø ì »  ø ] á õ : Nor taking secret paramours (4:26). ì ø  ø Ù ø [aor. mø í »  ö Ù ö inf. noun ì ø  » Ù º and ì ø  » Ö ^ á º and ì ô  » Ö ^ á º ] ì ø  ø Ù ø Ê ö ¡ Þ÷ ^ æ ø Â ø ß» ä ö : He abstained from or gave up or neglected aiding or assisting him and held back from him. ì ø  ø Öø ä ü means, he left, forsook or deserted him. æ ø ]ô á » m $ í »  ö Ö» Ó ö Ü » Ê ø Û ø à »  ø ] ] Ö $  ô p » mø ß»  ö  ö Ò ö Ü » : But if He forsakes you, then who can help you (3:161). ì ø ^  ô Ù º : One who abstains from, or gives up or neglects the rendering of aid; anyone leaving, forsaking or deserting; one routed, defeated or put to flight. It is syn. with ì ø  ö æ » Ù º which is also its intensive form, 224 ì  Å ì  Ù
