حطم حط حَطَّ possession; thing or place to be attended. كُلُّ شِرْبٍ مُحْتَضَرٌ : Every turn or time of drinking shall be attended )54:29( مَحْصَرٌ : Place of assembling or where people are present. ]aor. يَحُطُ inf. noun حَطَّةَ حَطَّ : He put it down from a high to a lower place. حَطَّ عَنْهُ وِزْرَةً : He put down from him his heavy burden. حُطَّ عَنَّا ذُنُوْبَنَا : Put Thou down from us the burden of our sins. حَطَّ فِي الطَّعَامِ : He ate much of the food. إِنْحَطَّ فِي حَدَرٍ : He descended a declivity. اِنْحَطَّ : The price became less. اسْتَحَطَّ فُلَانٌ وِزْرَهُ : He asked such a one to relieve him of his burden. حِطَّةٌ : A petition for the putting down of a heavy burden or merely the putting down of a burden. وَقُوْلُوْا حِطَّةٌ : And say: Put down from 22 us our sins or Thou put down from us one heavy burden of sins which is حِطَّةٌ (2:59) : أَحْطُطُ اَللَّهُمَّ أَوْزَارَنَا حِطَّةً is also decrease or state of diminution in respect of rank or station. مَحَط : A place where one alights and abides and مَحَطَّةٌ حَطَبَ ]aor. يَحْطِبُ inf. noun حَطَبَ الْحَطَبَ حَطْبٌ : He collected firewood. حَطَبَهُ : He collected firewood for him or حَطَبَ فِي حَبْلِهِ اِحْتَطَبَ لَهُ : Literally he collected firewood in his rope i. e. he aided or assisted حَطَبَ به : He calumniated or slandered him. فُلَانٌ يَحْطِبُ على فلان : Such a one incites or instigates against such a one. حَطَبٌ : Firewood; the pieces of trees that are prepared for fuel. يَحْمِلُ الْحَطَبَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ : He goes about with slander or calumny among people. حَطَبٌ also means the prunings of a grape-vine. فَكَانُوا لِجَهَنَّمَ حَطَبًا : They will be fuel for the Hell )72:16( وَامْرَأَتُهُ حَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِ : And his wife, the bearer of slander )111:5( هُوَ حَاطِبُ اللَّيْلَ : One who confuses in his speech and in his affair. حَطَمَ ]aor. يَعْطِمُ inf. noun حَطَّمَهُ or حَطَمَهُ حَطْمًا : He broke it; he broke it into pieces; he or it crushed it. يَحْطِمُ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا : They crush one another. حَطَمَ فُلانًا أَهْلُهُ : His family rendered him a broken old man. حَطَمَتْهُ السِّنُّ : Old age broke him or made him infirm حَطِمَ )aor. يَحْطَمُ ( : It broke or became broken in pieces. حَطِمَتِ الدَّابَّةُ : The beast became aged and emaciated and weak broken with لا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ . People crowded upon him : انْحَطَمَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ . age وَجُنُوْدُهُ : Lest Solomon and his hosts crush you )27:19( حُطَامٌ : 191
