حج حتى understood after حَتّى as in حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوسَى : Until Moses returns to us. (4) It is also syn. with کی denoting a cause or motive and signifying 'to the end that', 'in order that', or 'so that' as in اَسْلِمْ حَتَّى تَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ : Become a Muslim so that thou may enter Paradise (or ' in order that' or 'to the end that'). (5) It is also used in the sense of اِلّ meaning 'except' or 'unless'. (6) It is also a conjunction like واو signifying 'And' or rather 'even' as in اَكَكُلْتُ السَّمَكَ حَتَّى رَأْسَهَا : I ate the fish even its head; I ate the fish and its head. (7) It is also used as an inceptive particle as in أَكَلْتُ السَّمَكَ حَتَّى رَأْسُهَا : I ate the fish so that its head was eaten. لک لک حَتَّامَ is originally حَتَّى مَا )'Till when'; 'until when;, 'how long'(: The الف of ما is elided as in which originally is بِمَا حَتَّ ]aor. يَحُثُ inf noun حَنَّهُ حَتَّ : He hastened him, hurried him uninterruptedly or in any manner. حَنَّ الرَّجُلَ عَلَى الْأَمْرِ or حَنْحَتَ الرَّجُلُ : He excited, incited, urged or instigated the man to do the thing. حَنَّ الدَّابَّةَ بِالسَّوْطِ or حَشْحَتَ : He urged on the beast with the whip. حَتَّى الْفَرَسَ عَلَى الْعَدْوِ : He made the horse to go quickly in a brisk manner or urged him to run by striking him with the feet or whip. حَثِيْتُ : A woman inciting, urging or instigating or a woman incited, excited, urged; a sharp man, quick in his affair; quick or swift. فَرَسٌ حَثِيْتُ السَّيْرِ i. e. a quick horse; swift-footed. وَلَى حَنِيئًا : He retreated quickly and eagerly. نَوْمٌ حَثِيْتُ : Light sleep. يَطْلُبُهُ حَشِيْئًا : Which pursues it incessantly )7:55(. وش حَجَّ ]aor يَحْجُّ inf. noun حَجَّةَ حَجٌ : He went, repaired or betook himself to him; he went or betook himself to an object of respect and reverence; he went or betook himself to him repeatedly or frequently. حَجَّ بَنُوْفُلانٍ فُلانًا : The sons of such a one visited such a one repeatedly or حَجَجْتُ فُلانًا : I went to him frequently. حَجُّ الْبَيْتِ : He went to the House of God to perform the Pilgrimage . اَتِمُّوا الْحَجَّ : And complete the Hajj or Pilgrimage )2:197( حَجَّ مَكَّةَ means he went to or visited Mecca to perform the Pilgrimage or simply he performed the Pilgrimage . حَجَّ عَلَيْهِ : He came to him. حَجَّ عَنِ الْأَمْرِ : He abstained or refrained from doing the thing. حَجَّ الْجَرَحَ : He probed the wound. حَجَّ also 164 یک
