حب حَبُّ ]aor. يَحُبُّ or يَحِبُّ inf. noun حُبَّ إِلَيَّ هَذَا الشَّيْءُ حُبُّ : This thing was or became an object of love for me. حَبَّ or حُبَّ : Beloved, lovely charming or excellent is he or it. حَبَّهُ )aor يَحِبُّهُ( : He loved him. أَحَبَّ ]aor. يُحِبُّ[ : He stood still he stopped. حُبّ : He was fatigued or tired. حَبَّبَ الدَّوَاءَ : He formed the medicine into pills. حَبَّبَهُ إِلَيَّ : He or it made him or it an object of love to me; he made me to love him or it. لَكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْإِيْمَانَ : God has made faith beloved to you i. e. He has made you to love faith; He has endeared the faith to you )498( اَحَبَّ الزَّرْعُ : The plant became full of grain. حَبَّهُ or أَحَبَّهُ : He loved, liked, took pleasure in him or it; he esteemed him as a friend. إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ : Allah loves those who do good )2:196( فَاتَّبِعُوْنِي يُحْسِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ : Follow me and Allah will love you )3:32( إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِى مَنْ اَحْبَبْتَ : Thou canst not guide whom thou lovest )28:57( اسْتَحَبَّهُ : H loved him; he esteemed him good. اِسْتَحَبَّهُ عَلَى غَيْرِه : He preferred him to others. إِن اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الْإِيْمَانِ : If they preferred disbelief to faith )9:23(. مَحَبَّةٌ or حُبُّ : Love affection; natural disposition or inclination towards a thing that pleases. وَالْقَيْتُ عَلَيْكَ مَحَبَّةً مِّنِّي And I wrapped thee with love from Me )20:40( يُحِبُّوْنَهُمْ كَحُبّ اللَّهِ : They love them as they should love Allah )2:166( تُحِبُّوْنَ الْمَالَ حُبَّاجَمًا : And you love wealth with exceeding love )89:21( حِبُّ : The lover; the beloved friend. الْحَبيبُ : The lover the beloved We are the sons of Allah : نَحْنُ اَبْنَوُا اللَّهِ وَاحِبَّاءُ الْأَحِبَّاءُ plural) وه : and His loved ones )5:19( حَبُّ ]inf. noun حَيَّةٌ [ : Corn; grain; seed; nut; pill; stone of grapes etc. وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْاَرْضِ : Nor is there a grain in the darkness of the earth )6:60( نُخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّا مُّتَرَاكِبًا : And We bring out from it clustered grain )6:100( حَبَّة also means a small portion of a thing. حَبَّةُ الْقَلْبِ : Heart's core the heart's blood. حَبَّةٌ also means a want; or an object of want. حَبَّذَا زَيْدٌ : Well-done Zaid حَبَّذَا الْأَمْرُ : Approved lovely or charming is the thing. حَبَّذَا is a word used for praise and appreciation. هَذَا أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ ذَاكَ : This is dearer to me than that. يُوسُفُ وَأَخُوْهُ أَحَبُّ إِلَى أَبَيْنَا مِنَّا : Joseph and his brothers are dearer to our father than we are (12:9). ]aor. يَحْبُرُ inf. noun حَبَرَ الشَّيْءَ حَبْرًا and حَبَّرَهُ : He made it 161
