جن جن جَنَّ ]aor. يَجُنُّ inf. noun جُنُونٌ or جَنَّهُ جَنَّ : It veiled, concealed, covered or protected him; or it covered him with its darkness as also جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ : It covered or concealed him or it. جَنَّ اللَّيْلُ الشَّيْءَ : The night covered the thing with its darkness. جَنَّ اللَّيْلُ : The night became dark. جَنَّ ]aor. يَجِنُّ means it (an embryo) was concealed in the womb. جُنَّ )inf. noun جُنُونٌ and جنةٌ and جَنَّ ( : He (a man) was or became mad or insane; bereft of reason or intellect. جُنَّتِ الْاَرْضُ : The land produced pleasing herbage or plant. فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ : And when the night darkened upon him )6:77( جِنَّ اللَّيْلِ : The darkness of night or its intense darkness or the confusedness of the darkness of night; concealment; the genii i. e. such beings as remain aloof from the people as if remaining concealed or that conceal themselves (opposite of thus comprising the angels; certain of the spiritual beings. بَاتَ فُلانٌ ضَيْفَ جِنّ : Such a one passed the night as a guest of that is in a desolate place where there was no one to cheer him by his society or talk. جنّ also means the main or chief part or body of men or of mankind; the flowers of plants or herbage; the prime of youth. كَأَنَّ ذَلِكَ فِي جِنِّ شَبَابِهِ : That was in the prime of his youth. It also جنّ : The darkness of night. لاجِنَّ بِهَذَا الْأَمْرِ : There is nothing secret about this matter. يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ : O company of jinn and men )6:131( جنة and جُنُونٌ : A state of possession by a loss of reason; madness, insanity or unsoundness in mind or intellect. جُنُونٌ also means persistence in evil; and pursuance of a rash course. مَا بِصَاحِبِهِمْ مِّنْ جنَّةٍ : There is no insanity about their companion )7:185( مَجْنُونٌ )mad man; one suffering from جُنُونٌ . . . insanity, madness; bereft of reason; unsound in mind; possessed by jinn اِنَّكَ لَمَجْنُونٌ : Thou art surely a mad man )157( مَجَانِيْنُ )plural ( : means seriousness or earnestness. یک 22 جِنُّ اللَّيْلِ : لَئِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْإِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ . (جِن plural of) جن and جِنَّةٌ and جَانٌّ .
