The primary signification of ]ø Ö» à ø  » Ø ö is the act of straitening or debarring, preventing, withholding.  ø  ø Ø ø  ø × ø n» ä ô : He straitened him in his affair and intervened as an obstacle between him and that which he desired. Ê ø ¡ iø à »  ö × ö ç » â ö à $ : And do not prevent them (2:233).  ø  ø ä ø [aor. mø à »  ø ä ö inf. noun  ø  » ä º etc. ) : He lied; he embellished speech with falsehood; he uttered falsehood and calumny as also  ø  ô ä ø.  ø  ô ä ø Ê ö ¡ Þ÷ ^ : He calumniated such a one; he reviled or vilified him.  ø  ø ä ø also means, he enchanted.  ø  ô ä º : A lie or falsehood; a calumny; enchantment.  ô  ö ç » á ø and  ô  ô n» à ø are plurals. ]ø Ö $  ô m» à ø q ø à ø × ö ç ] ] Ö» Ï ö  ô ]F á ø  ô  ô n» à ø : Those who pronounced or treated the Qur'an to be a bundle of lies or so many enchantments (15:92).  ø  ø ^ [aor. mø à »  ö ç » inf. noun  ø  » ç º ].  ø  ø ^ ] Ö  $ ^ é ø : He cut the sheep or goat into parts or portions.  ø  ø o æ ø  ø  $ o ] Ö» Ï ø ç » Ý ø : He divided the people into parts or sections. iø à »  ô nø è º which is inf. noun from   o which is equivalent to  ø  ô o ' signifies the act of dividing a thing into parts.  ö  » ç º : A limb of the body; one person of a party.  ô  ø è º : A piece, part or portion of a thing; a part, sect or class of people.
