DEFENCE AGAINST THE PLAGUE & A CRITERION FOR THE ELECT OF GOD 31 will be saved from the plague. The government and the peo- ple can but benefit from such an undertaking. This will estab- lish their greatness and they will be considered as saints. If not, they shall set a seal to their being liars and deceivers.
