Defence Against the Plague & A Criterion for the Elect of God 13 no one has knowledge of the unseen. Hence, for riddance from this plague, the message which God has given to me is that people should accept me with sincere hearts as the Promised Messiah. If I too had made my claim without any proof, in the way that Miań Shams-ud-D i n, Secretary of Himayat-e-Islam Lahore, or Reverend Weitbrecht have in their announcements, then like them I would also have been deemed one who speaks nonsense. However, my pronouncements are those which were made prior to the present time, and today they have been fulfilled. Moreover, even in these days God has given me news. The Lord of Honour and Glory says in this respect: ۃ. لو ال االكرام لھلك المقام. ي ما كان الل ّٰ لیعذّبھم و انت فیھم انہ اوی القر مع ى حفیظ. ان ى خاف لدي ّ المرسلون. ان ي ال ى انا الرحمٰن دافع االذی. ان ى ان دًا. االمراض تشاع. ي لوم. افطر و اصوم. غضبت غضبًا شد ي الرسول اقوم. والوم من مانہم بظلم اولٰئك لھم اال من و ھم ي لبسوا ا ي ن اٰمنوا و لم ي والنفوس تضاع. اال الذ دارھم ى اجھز الجیش فاصبحوا ف ى االرض ننقصھا من اطرافھا. ان ى مھتدون. انّا نأت ى انفسھم نصر من الل ّٰ و فتح مبین. ان ى االٰفاق و ف ى تنا ف ي ٰ ھم ا ي جاثمین. سنر ان ى ٰ و انا منك. عس ى ّ انت من ✩ بمنزلۃ اوالدی ى ّ. انت من ى ّ رب ى عن ي عتك با ي با ّٰ الل ى أت ي ى ّٰ بعثك ربّك مقامًا محمودًا. الفوق معك والتحت مع اعداءك فاصبر حت ي جھنم زمان لیس فیھا احد. ى عل ى أت ي بأمرہ. Translation: Allah would not chastise the residents of Qadian while you are among them. He has given shel - ter to this town from the plague to invade and destroy. the form of a prophecy, and it is this: ن ظلموا انھم مغرقون ي الذ ى ف ى و ال تخاطبن. Meaning that: Do not intercede with Me on behalf of those people who do not repent from cruelty, defiance, corruption, and abusive language, because they will be drowned. —Author
