74 A critical Review of the Pamphlet—‘f a te h -e-Qadian’ die close to the Day of Judgement, then his ر (ascension) will not happen till after his death, because the Holy Quran says: I will cause you to die a natural death and will exalt you to Myself. 42 Thus the author of the pamphlet claims that Jesus [ Hadrat ‘ I s a as ] will die after having descended close to the Day of Judgement, and then he will be raised; his ascension will not happen while he is alive but only after his death. May we point out that according to this belief, if he is still alive, his ر (ascension) has yet to happen. To impress his followers with his knowledge of Arabic, Musht a q Chisht i has used technical terms of Arabic grammar which have done him more harm than good. He has gotten himself into such a deep hole that he will never be able to get out of it. He writes: If you look carefully at the Arabic word را  ( r a fi ‘ uka ), it destroys all Qadian i 43 research. When any of the forms of ر ( rafa ‘ a ), ُ  (y arfa ‘ o ), ر  را ( rafa ‘ an fahuwa r a fi ‘ un ), are used where the subject is Allah and the object is some matter, the particle il a is mentioned, its pronoun – not noun – being in the genitive case, and its pronoun’s antecedent is the subject, in such a case, the 42 S u rah A l-e-‘Imr a n 3:56 [Publishers] 43 Reference is to the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community [Publishers]
