Matchlessness of I‘J A ZUL-MAS IH : Maulav i Muhammad h asan Fai di and his notes I‘j a zul-Mas ih , a book of the Promised Messiah as , was published on February 23, 1901. He sent a copy to P i r Meher ‘Al i. In addition to him, this book contained an open invitation to Arabs and non- Arabs to enter into the contest of writing a commentary in the Arabic language. Accepting this challenge, Maulav i Muhammad H asan Fai di of Bheen , Sub-district Chakwal, District Jhelum, declared that he would write its rebuttal. He was a teacher at the No‘m a niah School in the Sh a h i Mosque, Lahore. For this rebuttal, he started compiling notes on the Promised Messiah’s as book I‘j a zul-Mas ih , and on a book written by a companion of the Promised Messiah as , Hadrat Syed Muhammad A h san Amrohv i called Shams-e-B a zighah.
