Condition III 61 Allah and His angels send mercy on the Prophet. O ye who believe! You also should invoke blessings on him and salute him with abundant salutations of peace. Hadrat ‘Abdull a h Bin ‘Amr Bin al-‘ As ra narrates that he heard the Holy Prophet sa saying: When you hear the caller of adh a n , repeat the words that he is saying. Then invoke Allah’s blessings upon me. He who invokes Allah’s blessing upon me, Allah will grant him His mercy ten-fold. ’ Then he said, ‘Whoever begs Allah that He may grant me wa si lah —which is one grade in Paradise, which Allah will grant to one of His servants, and I hope that I am that one—my intercession for such a one will become permis- sible. ( S a hih Muslim , Kit a b-u s - S al a ti, B a bul-Qauli mithli Qaulil Mua’dhdhini liman Sami‘ah u Thumma Yu s all i ‘Alan Nabiyyi) Everyone should keep in mind that in order to win the plea- sure of Allah, to attain His love, and to have our prayers find acceptance with Allah, we need the intermediation of the Holy Prophet sa. The best way to do that—as we are told in the h ad i th —is to invoke Allah’s blessings upon him. The Promised Messiah as has also admonished that dur u d should be recited abundantly. 41 41. Bless O Allah, Muhammad and his progeny as You did bless Abraham and his progeny. Certainly You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Prosper O Allah, Muhammad and his progeny, as You did prosper Abraham and his progeny. Certainly You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.
