II That he/she shall keep away from false- hood, fornication/adultery, trespasses of the eye, debauchery, dissipation, cruelty, dishonesty, mischief and rebellion; and that he/she will not permit himself/ herself to be carried away by passions, however strong they might be.  Nine kinds of sins are mentioned in this condition, and the initiate, everyone who claims to belong to the Jam a ‘at of the Promised Messiah as , should eschew those sins. Falsehood—the Greatest of Evils Indeed, falsehood is the greatest of all evils. Once someone asked the Holy Prophet sa for advice because that person was suffering from many weaknesses and did not think that he could leave all of them at once. The Holy Prophet sa told him, ‘Promise that you will always speak the truth and will never tell a lie. ’ Just by adopting the path of truthfulness, he was c o n d i t i o n
