46 evidence. Alas for our enemies who have turned their eyes away from the scriptures of the Allah the Gracious. They did not seek Quranic verities like the seekers of knowledge and wasted all their time and all their lives clinging to such opinions as can neither lead them to the gardens of obedience nor satiate them with the pure springs of faith. I regard their statements as the words of impostors. O horde of blind and one-eyed men! Fear God and dare not commit sins and evil acts. Take the path in which you do not fear any oppression or any stroke of the sword, or any sting of a biter, or any calamity of a vast valley. Stand in submission before Allah and ponder over what I have said. Have I spoken the truth or have I deviated from the truth? Reflect like God-fearing people! What is the matter with you that you do not show readiness to حسرة علی أعدائنا إنهم صرفوا النظر عن صحف الل ّٰ الرحمٰن، ّب العرفان، ال وما طلبوا معارفها كط وأفنوا زمانهم وعمرهم في أقوال ال إ ذعان، وال ال توصلهم إلی روضات ا إ یمان، ال تسقیهم من ینابیع مطهرة ل وما نری أقوالهم إال كصوّاغین باللسان. فیامعشر العُمي والعُور. علی تجترءوا ّٰ وال الل اتقوا المعاصي والفجور، وتخیّروا طریقًا ال تخشون فیه مس َّ حیف ٍ وال ضرب َ سیف، وال حُمَة السع ٍ وال ُ آفة واد ٍ واسع، وقوموا لل ّٰ قانتین. وفكّروا في قولي. هل صدقت فیما نطقتُ، أو ملت ُ فیما قلتُ، وتفكروا كالخاشعین. ما لكم ال
