46 The commentary of al-Qa si dah The beauty in the dimple of the Holy Prophet’s sa chin is equivalent to hundreds of thousands of Y u sufs [Josephs]. ( A ’ i na’-e-Kam a l a t-e-Isl a m, R uha n i Khaz a ’in , vol. 5, p. 27) One meaning of this couplet is that the beauty of the Holy Prophet sa exceeds that of thousands of Josephs. Another meaning is that a thousand Josephs, in spite of their own exceptional beauty, are enchanted by the beauty of the Holy Prophet sa. The spiritual status of the Holy Prophet sa is so highly exalted that by the blessings of his spirit countless number of Messiahs like the Messiah of Nazareth, have already appeared amongst his followers. Many more are yet to appear.
