188 The commentary of al-Qa si dah is given the name Dajj a l [antichrist] and Satan. He is publicly maligned with hateful words among crowds of people, and everyone considers it honourable to insult him. At this point he complains to his beloved that O my beloved, these people who claim to be associated with you have rejected me and have refused to accept me. Therefore, I have come to your court for assistance. In the time of the Promised Messiah as many renowned scholars issued fat a w a [religious verdicts] in 1891 and the following are a few excerpts from them: Maulaw i Syed Nadh i r H usain and many other scholars wrote together as follows: Mirza Qadian i is one of the thirty Dajj a ls mentioned in the h ad i th, his followers are the children of Dajj a l. Muslims must stay away from this type of Dajj a l and must not join them in performing any religious matters as they normally would with other Muslims. Muslims should not sit with him nor accept his invitation, should not say prayers behind him, and must not perform his funeral prayer… He and people like him are thieves of religion. They are from Dajj a l, they are liars, they are accursed, they are satans… There is no doubt that this Qadian i is a non- believer and an apostate… He is a very big Dajj a l and is out of the pale of Islam, and is an infidel and is of bad character…, has the lowest morals and is an enemy of God… Any person who doubts in his being on the wrong path is just as wrong himself and is himself a K a fir rather Akfar [the greatest disbeliever]… He is worse than the Satan that is playing with him and he must not be allowed to be buried in a Muslim cemetery… He is an enemy of the prophets and God is his enemy… Any person who has the
