A Review of the Pakistani Government’s “White Paper”: Qadiyaniyyat—A Grave Threat to Islam [ 29 ] Chaudhary Sal i m Akhtar has appealed the president of Pakistan that all of the Ahmadiyya literature should be declared illegal, confiscated and put to fire and in the future severe punishment should be dis- pensed on its publication. ( Ibid. ) Mr. Sal i m Akhtar is congratulating the president of the country and I congratulate him that the president has com- plied with his wishes and is moving fast. Large quantities of Ahmadiyya literature are being confiscated and set on fire. Ahmad i s found in possession of this literature are being arrested in large numbers and are being jailed. Moreover, they were being arrested for possessing it even before the ban was imposed. Thus the Government of Pakistan is car- rying out this campaign in its supposed interest of Islam and, as admitted by the Christians, as a great service to Christianity far beyond the imagination of Mr. Sal i m Akhtar.
