35 who has devoured your livelihood with harlots; you killed the fatted calf for him. And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found. ’ I have a lot of patience and fortitude. If someone comes repenting, I will be happier for him than I am for those who pledged their allegiance to me on the first day of my Khilafat. The reason is that the latter were never lost. But the aforesaid was lost and would be found again. It pleases a father to look at his sons, but the happiness a father feels about his son who suffers a serious illness and recovers is beyond recount. I do not appreciate reconciliation which has traces of hypocrisy. Anyone who extends his hand for reconciliation after washing his heart clean and correcting his mistakes will find that I am readier than him for reconciliation. No Hypocritical Appeasement I now wish to make another point. Those who wish to attain a hypocritical reconciliation should remember that it will never happen, for whatever has happened in recent days, has happened in accordance with the divine Will. Those wishing to join us will continue to join us and will be given the same position and respect as they enjoyed before. Whatever was destined has come to pass. No man was strong or capable enough to prevent it from happening. God had foretold the Promised Messiah as about this impending ordeal long ago. Those with a weak heart ask me what would happen next.
