59 ever have discovered them by way of his own imagination or conjecture. • First, I was informed that he would die of fever. • Second, that he would be able to write his will before his demise. • Third, that it will be published in the month of March and, • Fourth that it will have something to do with al-Badr. I think it would not be inappropriate if, at this point, I include the fifth sign as well, i. e. , that this vision was also related to me in one way or the other; for if that were not the case, what could be the purpose of sending that man to me and conveying the information to me [as seen in dream]. Moreover, it contained such a message as no one was able to understand before it actually took place. But when the actual incident took place accordingly, the dream was proven to be true. It is now very clear that this vision also contained the indication of my Khilafat. No thought regarding this had ever crossed my mind, so I could not have imagined anything like this at the time that I saw the vision. Out of the five inferences made from this vision, four are very clear. For example, his dying of fever happened accordingly. As for the will, that too is quite obvious, because he had it written down before his demise. The third sign, i. e. , its publication in the month of March, too, has no ambiguity, for he wrote it in the month of March and it was published the same month. The fifth sign—its bearing some relationship with me—was also fulfilled in accordance with the vision.
