Do you think it is a viable proposition in any way that Ahmadi girls should be married to non-Ahmad i s and undergo hardships? Only that Jam a ‘at can survive which looks after the well-being of all of its members. Considering the circumstances the Jam a ‘at is facing today, you should avoid taking non-Ahmadi girls into marriages [for Ahmadi boys], so as to protect your people against trials and hardships and so that you continue to grow stronger as a Jam a ‘at. Prayer in Congregation There is another flaw to which I wish to draw your attention. Some flaws may appear to be minor in the beginning, but become serious with the passage of time and cause great damage. There is a flaw in our Jam a ‘at—and I know that it is due to the circumstances faced by a part of the members. But every Ahmadi is required to be extremely vigilant. If we do not attend to it and do not find ways to set it straight, it may result in great harm for the Jam a ‘at and result in very serious consequences. That flaw is concerning the offering of congregational prayer. There is no doubt that Ahmad i s are faced with a problem in this regard in that they cannot offer prayers behind non-Ahmad i s, and there are many places where only one Ahmadi lives. He, therefore, finds himself unable to offer prayers in congregation.
