But over a period of about last nine months, I have come to know about a number of problems and hurdles which Ahmad i s are facing with regards to performing this important ritual. From the letters written to me by the members of the Jam a ‘at, I understand that people are under a lot of stress due to the prevailing situation. The Promised Messiah as had also planned to put down the names of all the Ahmadi boys and girls in a register. He ordered for a register to be opened at some member’s request who had submitted to him that people face a lot of difficulty when it comes to marrying their sons or daughters, and keeping in view the directive of the Promised Messiah as , matrimonial relationships could not be established with non- Ahmad i s. He wrote that Ahmad i s were living at scattered places. He sought the guidance of the Promised Messiah as in this regard and suggested that there should be a register where the names of all the unmarried Ahmadi boys and girls are properly recorded, so that the marriages were easily arranged. He said that in this way the Promised Messiah as , when requested, would himself be able to propose some possible matches with the help of that register. He said that there was no Ahmadi who could disobey the choice of the Promised Messiah as. Unfortunately, some people give suggestions due to their own selfish desires. It seems, in this case too, the intention of the man giving the suggestion for the register was not upright. There was a sincere and pious Ahmadi who wanted to get married. The man who had forwarded the idea of making up of a register happened to have a daughter. The Promised Messiah as told the Ahmadi in need of marriage to enquire from the said person if he was interested. The man rejected the proposal and refused to give away his
