90 Recipe for Success In the Holy Quran, God has given us the following prescription for success: 2 The translation of the verse, in keeping with the spiritual station of the Holy Prophet sa would be that God, addressing the Holy Prophet sa , says that: ‘Since bounty has been vouchsafed to you, because you are not miserly about it—rather you are extremely generous—and in your heart you wish that it be granted to other people as well. Alas, foolish people confine themselves to their houses and do not strive to find it. You regret their condition and look towards them longingly wondering why they do not partake in the blessings of this S u rah. You should instead make sure that you do not even take a glimpse at them, so that you can fully involve yourself in the training of the righteous Jam a ‘at that We have already given you. We shall take care of them Ourselves. ’ 2 And We have, indeed, given thee the seven oft-repeated verses , and the Great Quran. Stretch not thy eyes towards what We have bestowed on some classes of them to enjoy for a short time, and grieve not over them; and lower thy wing of mercy for the believers. ( S u rah al- H ijr , 15:88-89)
