87 among us the one upon whom the Holy Prophet sa sent his Sal a m [Greetings of Peace]; the one for whom many a great and righteous saints who have already departed from this world had been waiting for. God enabled us to accept him. Not only did He enable us to believe in him, but He also granted us the faculties to serve his dispensation. Hence, you are all the viceroys and lieutenant governors to the doorsteps of the Divine. You do not need any worldly titles. One who is a servant of the Promised Messiah as is in fact a servant of the Holy Prophet sa , and one who is a servant of the Holy Prophet sa is in fact a servant of God Almighty. Your names have been counted as among those who serve God. What other matter of pride is to be attained by a person greater than this? The Holy Prophet sa told one of his companions that God had instructed him to teach that companion of his S u rah al-F a ti h ah. The companion asked, ‘O Prophet of God! Did God specifically mention my name while speaking to you?’ The Holy Prophet sa said, ‘Yes, God specifically mentioned your name. ’ As soon as he heard this, he started to weep profusely. He could not believe that God had considered him worthy of mention. How Benevolent is our God towards us and how Bounteous is He that He has remembered us! One, who is called upon in this world by an officer of even a low rank, finds it hard to contain his joy. But alas! The one who is called upon by God does not honour His call. God has called upon you. The worldly sovereigns and persons of rank will never be capable of giving you that which God can bestow upon you. So you should move swiftly, and being thankful to Him run towards Him when He calls upon you. Other people in this world are much better placed than you in terms of worldly wealth and luxuries, but the treasures of faith lie only with you. Others do not have them. What
