First Speech: (December 27, 1914) 1 After reciting tashahhud, ta‘awwudh , and S u rah al-F a ti h ah , H u du r ra said: I would like to speak to you about a few important points, one of which, in my opinion, is the only means of establishing not only Ahmadiyyat but also Islam; and without which no human being can ever establish a relationship with God, nor can a person become a true Muslim. Moreover, no one can acquire it unless he is a recipient of God’s special grace and blessing. Besides this, there are a few other important matters, but they are not as vital. With Allah’s grace and blessings, I will, God willing, expound tomorrow on a topic which is of vital importance and about which I have been anxious to communicate for a long time. 1 In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful; we praise Him and invoke blessings upon His Noble Messenger.
