Instantly, Barr ad attacked Mas a dir, as suddenly as a cat pounces upon a pigeon, and killed him. Having done this, he hid Mas a dir’s body and sword among some rocks, then went to his companion Asad and said, “I have never seen anyone more faint-hearted and cowardly than your friend to this day. I took him to Barr ad ’s house while Barr ad was sleeping and said to him, ‘What are you waiting for? Put him to eternal sleep with one stroke of your sword. ’ But he was unable to do anything, so I have to come fetch you so that the three of us can finish Barr ad off together. ” Asad accompanied him and encountered the same fate as his friend.
