•oUR BELoVED MASTER• 36 ordered his army to get ready and launched an attack on Makkah. God’s wrath descended on him at once and his entire army was destroyed. The battlefield was filled with dead bodies and there was no one left to bury the corpses. The Holy Quran has related this entire incident in a few words with amazing eloquence. Allah says in the Holy Quran: S u rah Al-F i l , 105:1–6 Hast thou not seen how thy Lord dealt with the People of the Elephant? Did He not cause their plan to miscarry? And He sent against them swarms of birds, Which ate their carrion, striking them against stones of clay, And thus made them like broken straw, eaten up.
