5 FiRST House of WoRship A fter both Hadrat Ibr a h i m as and Hadrat Ism a‘i l as had proven themselves to be steadfast in their devotion and obedience to God, He said to them: “Now, both of you build a mosque for my worship in Makkah. I shall bless it so much that people will be drawn towards it from East and West. ” Following God’s command, both father and son built a mosque with their own hands. However, this mosque was so simple that it had neither a roof nor any door or door frame; it was a simple boundary wall. The floor within was unfinished as well.
