And I am as steadfast as I can be on (my) covenant with You and on (my) promise to You. I seek Your protection from the evil of my actions. I acknowledge Your bounties and I admit my sins. Hence, forgive me please, for there is certainly none who can forgive, except You. The Holy Prophet sa said that whosoever says this prayer in the morning or in the evening, and then he dies in the same day or same night, he will be admitted to para- dise. (NOTE: Mere verbal reading of the prayer is not sufficient. One should act accord- ingly so that one’s actions become com- patible with the prayer).
